A Kitchen with a Little History and a Lot of Personality
The homeowners wanted something different from the typical all-white kitchen. They loved the character of traditional Craftsman interiors but wanted a space that still felt fresh, open, and easy to live in.
Soft sage green cabinets set the tone, complemented by warm copper, natural marble, and a deep blue professional range. Each element brings its own personality without competing for attention.
The finished kitchen feels as though it has always belonged in the home, with all the thoughtful details and modern conveniences you'd expect from a complete renovation.
Sage Green Cabinets, a Copper Hood, and Marble Worth a Second Look
The cabinetry was custom-made by Kountry Kraft, featuring framed inset doors crafted from maple and painted in a soft shade matching Benjamin Moore Garden Path #466. Inside, practical details like built-in knife storage make everyday cooking easier.
Above the blue professional range sits a handcrafted copper hood with brass detailing, easily one of the most memorable features of the kitchen.
For the countertops, the homeowners selected three slabs of honed Calacatta Apuano marble from Ollin Stone. The same stone continues up the backsplash and wraps around the custom island with waterfall edges.
Brushed brass hardware, hardwood floors, and Craftsman-inspired lighting bring everything together.
More Than a Beautiful Kitchen: A Space Made for Everyday Life
A successful kitchen remodel isn't just about how the room looks. It's about how it feels to use it every day.
The custom breakfast banquette beside the windows creates a favourite spot for morning coffee or a casual meal. Open shelving gives the homeowners space to display pieces they love, while the carefully planned cabinetry keeps everyday essentials organised and out of sight.
The marble island offers plenty of room for preparing meals and gathering with family, and the combination of warm finishes and natural materials makes the entire space feel inviting.
Completed in 2025, this Laguna Beach kitchen renovation shows how traditional craftsmanship and modern design can work beautifully together.
